Preparing for your Newborn Session
-
When I come, make sure your baby has just eaten. You can be feeding them when I arrive as well. The goal is to have them nice and milk drunk. They may even eat a little during the session. We'll roll with what they want/need.

-
We want the area we'll be taking pictures in to be nice and warm. We can put on a little heater near them while we take pictures if we need to. This will help them feel comfortable and cozy. I have a heater that I can bring if you'd like.

-
It's always nice when I can use natural light, so try and pic a room or area of the house that has big windows for us to work with. I'll also bring some lighting with me.

-
Feel free to pick out more than one outfit that you'd like their photos done in. We can do a costume change or two. I can also bring some options like hats, headbands and swaddles.

-
Gather up soft or textured blankets and pillows to use in the photos. I can also bring some options.

-
Feel free to look around on Instagram and Pintrest and send me example pictures that you have loved and would like to try and recreate :)

(Most of all, I know being a new mom is exhausting, so if any of this is too much, please don't worry about it. Like I said, I can bring things to use and work with and everything else we can figure out when I get there if we need to)
